Young Minds Engineering Progress

Thursday 13th September 2007

Groveley Engineering is pleased to be able to offer Josh Brooks (15) from Porchester Sports College in Bournemouth a work experience placement within their precision engineering company. Josh is currently studying science and maths amongst other topics and plans to progress onto further education within the engineering field.

Peter Bennet, managing director commented 'It´s no secret that there is a serious skill set shortage within the UK engineering industry for young, bright and ambitious people which means those who do actually make the choice of an engineering career will reap the benefits in the long run.

'The sooner we get our younger generation considering all the career opportunities available to them the better able our industry will be to maintain a dominant position in an ever more competitive worldwide manufacturing environment - this is why the Groveley Group will continue to show it´s support to local schools in this way'.
